Heavenly Odyssey

Light and airy,
sparkling, bright!
That's the theme
to bring delight!

Sweet and tasty,
luscious too!
Choicest words
that ought to do!

Blithesome, rosy
full of glee
Loveliest
of poetry!

Sun kissed, moon blessed
Heavenly
Every line
an odyssey

Love and romance
Chivalry
Rhythms about
Love's destiny

Playful, dreamy
Whimsy lore
Heart's own quest:
Devote, adore!

Poets, readers
Loved ones, all
Listen to
the muse's call

Follow swiftly,
travel far
Lose yourself
Twirl on a star

Pretty, fancy
Dulcet chimes
You will find
in minstrel's rhymes.

It’s lovely, you rose to the challenge. It has an undertow of sarcasm.

Thank you! So good to read your comments. Trying to be chirpy might bring some hidden sarcasm with it. ;)

Glad I could make you smile. To be honest, I wrote this as a challenge to myself. I've been writing dark and depressing writes that match my life at the moment, so...I don't want to lose friends and followers here, so I tried my best to write a cheery write.

Dear Eileen, your words dance aslight as air, sweet as melody, a gentle waltz of love and wonder. As I read I thought how each line feels like a twirl under stardust. Pure joy in poetic form. Beautiful. Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Oh...you'd be surprised. I'm in the depth of despair, but...just goes to show how you can project what you want. I'm trying to focus on light and airy poems, the last couple have been...well, dark.

Hi, dear. I'm sorry you thought it ended darkly. I tried my best to write a happy rhyme so I won't lose followers here. Shall I remove the stanza before the last?
