A guy down the street who knows Spanish
He’s homeless and needs something to eat, a sandwich
A drink of milk or juice
Something to fill him up
I can’t wait to see the promised land
Where pain and sorrow never enter in
Where God’s light of love is always and forever
A part of the very air we’ll breath up there
Living all together, in heaven’s glory
A woman lost her home in bad weather
She came to me and we prayed
She spent the night in the shelter
With children around her knee
Where will she go? Only God knows!
I can’t wait to see the promised land
Where pain and sorrow never enter in
Where God’s light of love is always and forever
A part of the very air we’ll breath up there
Living all together, in heaven’s glory
A friend’s son died today, and I shudder,
No one knows when or why he went so far
But his body was found by a brother
Who couldn’t have know the trouble
That would make him take his own life?
I can’t wait to see the promised land
Where pain and sorrow never enter in
Where God’s light of love is always and forever
A part of the very air we’ll breath up there
Living all together, in heaven’s glory
Someday, we’ll see the promised land
Live forever in the light of love up there
Glory to God in the highest
He is the love that I’m trying
Glory, glory, glory to God, my true friend
