Heavenly Bodies

Remember,
when we
  looked at gibberish
  in the sky?

you thought,
  they were diamond-strung
  pearls, or stardusts.

inch by
  inch, they moved closer.
  nature was in retrograde.

my heart,
  it spoke of light years,
  and comets, and Venus' glimmer.

your hair, it ended where my heartbeat began.
  we were looking at gibberish
  in the sky,
  when you and I
  became our very own stars.

Faultless ... this peerless write of pure originality ... the conceit in metaphor (the hair) leaps beyond the accolade of the page.
