Heaven Or Hell
The Devil wants me for his own but God will not abide.
The Devil says my sins have grown but God is on my side.
The Devil thinks that I should toil from sunrise to sunset.
God knows I have to work the soil but thinks my needs are met.
The Devil says my charity is far too close to home.
God said good deeds will come from me if I'm just left alone.
The Devil says he thinks that greed will surely bring me down.
God said he's sure I will succeed to turn myself around.
The Devil says I drink too much, my soul must go to Hell.
God said if not used as a crutch why drink just from the well.
The Devil thinks that I am blind because I do not pray.
God told him that he didn't mind because I will one day.
