Heaven Only Knows
Heaven only knows
Why I’m the one you chose
To be with for your entire life.
For though you’d rather forget,
I never will regret
The day that you agreed to be my wife.
I wish that you could see
Just how much you mean to me
And the shame I feel for having caused such pain,
How my love for you has grown
Into a love I’ve never known
And I long only to have you back again.
They say one never knows
What one’s had until it goes
And I know now what I’ve lost in losing you
But if I could only find
A way to bring you peace of mind,
I would give my soul to start our life anew.
