Heaven Interpretation

You thought this was sleep.
A deep one
The kind you fall into when your body finally gives in
After carrying too much for too long.

You felt calm, but something was missing.
Not pain. Not sound.
Just something.
You said hello to someone who didn’t turn around.
You raised your voice. They didn’t hear you.
And it wasn’t silence you noticed
It was absence.

You remembered things out of order.
A moment too crisp to belong to now.
You felt love and it didn’t settle
It clung, like something unfinished.

You walked through rooms expecting to find someone
Who already let go, gave in.
And still, you asked anyway.
Still, you waited.
Your name didn’t feel real when you said it out loud.
Like it belonged to the part of you
You hadn’t quite lost.

You looked for yourself in the places you used to hurt.
But everything was quiet there.
Too quiet.
And just as the truth crept in you felt a flicker
Something close to remembering
A moment that made you feel like you belonged.
It came with a rush then left like a wave
Pulling everything back out to sea.

You told yourself it was just a quiet day.
Just one of those mornings where the world turns slowly.
But in your chest,
Something was already trying to grieve
What you hadn’t realized was gone.
