-Heaven In the Sky

A memory ,a thought out of the blue
Unexpected moments reminded of you
Teared filled eyes and a familiar pain
You are back with me in my world again.

Back to days when my life felt whole 
We were on this earth together
Wish it had never changed
And you had stayed forever

My mind drifts to different times 
Throughout the decades
Hope age never takes my mind
So the memory of you never fades

Thoughts of you comfort me
Emotions happy and heavy hearted 
Grateful that we had our time
Sad that you departed

Memories of cuppa's
Walks and chats 
Singing and endless laughter
Wonderful stories to share of you
That will continue forever after

You were a little eccentric
Unique and quaint
Mischievous to the core 
Cheeky and funny
Born to dance 
Generous without flaw

So small in stature
Yet tall in heart 
With courage to inspire
A fighting spirit
A gracious soul 
Honoured and admired

Soft small hands crooked with age
Gave so much comfort and kind
I yearn to hold those hands again 
If only one more time

When you left I fell apart 
Struggled everyday
Time does ease the grief
Just doesn’t take it away

The circle of life took you away 
To your heaven in the sky 
The hollow now in my heart 
Mere words cannot describe
