Heat...No Heat

Backyard swimming pool

             was a cooling treat haven,

                 lonely under clouds...

Mine has been lonely also except for the Cliff Swallows that have just loved swooping down and drinking the cool pure water..Enjoyed reading your work..I am glad that I chose this one to read this evening..I was gifted to have you choose one of mine to read today..Sara

:) you got that right. Since it is the summer, pools are not lonely. Well written Senryu, Jay. Thanks for your comments on my poem today. Caroline.

Beautifully written, Jay. You're making me miss the pool I had before I moved to my father's house. Now I have to swim in the ocean, but fresh water is far more appealing. Great poem! Love, Carolyn
