Heat Conditions

I, in my coolness, Rage about the Heat. As sweltering mirages ride the air, I hibernate within my man-made cave. As the sun burns through the ozone layer, Our polar caps recede, warming the seas. UV rays scorch people, plants and the land. Waters shrink - people thirst, crops ruin - they starve. Oh but I, I still have my frosty lair. © 07-27-2012

awesome conclusion on this one. It's all about us!! I enjoyed that line: I still have my frosty lair. It's a shame that even that won't be there for us in the end. I am guilty of contributing to the global warming with millions of others in this world. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the world could work together to cause it not to happen! Well, just wanted to say hi to you this Thanksgiving day. So busy that I haven't got time lately to comment to poems. I'll start the cooking soon!

Unfortunately this is exactly what is happening in the world today! Just look at the extreme drought we are having in the center of the US! It's a truly sad occurrence that this is even happening! Your poem brings this thought to the forefront and begs for listening! An incredible write, written with very bright insight into the dilemma! Awesome piece, Great Work!!
