Heart's Warmth

Heart's warmth came at birth
Though my mother was not my kin
But, when she touched me, I knew
That love was now and then.

                                                        Hearts warmth was always there
The love I would always know
You could not tell we weren't flesh and blood
No one ever saw it show.

                                                         Heart's warmth was always true
                                                       Shared from heart to heart
Hearts' warmth will always be there
Just as it was from the start.
