Heart's Desire

Some may say, “follow your heart, for it knows the way.” But God’s word says, our heart will lead us astray. Because the heart is very sick and full of deception; Without Christ, we are in darkness, and have no perception. Don’t we all want to fulfill our own desires? Our cravings cause us to burn with fire. With no satisfaction and constant yearning, We’re always pursuing and never learning. Until we yield to our Creator and Lord, He is the one that will cut the cord, Christ frees us from the deception and lies, From the pit of destruction, He will cause us to rise. May God’s heart lead us in the way, May God’s desires be ours--this we should pray; Not my will but His will, and we will know-- The truth and the life, and our heart’s will glow!
