Hearts

My soul is singing
The older I get
The more my soul sings
The old man tells me
This is only the beginning
Sit down, write
Enjoy the fact
That your soul is singing

Some of us write dark
Some of us script conquest
In a walk to the park
Forever illusive
Fallen dew
To a given spark
Some of us
Bare all that we have
Became a victim
To distant cry’s
Closer laughs
My flesh lies
An adult in size
Some of us
Place together life
In a symphony
Of days to come
Flowers sent
Beautifully from
I adore my bread
My crumbs
My hearted numb
