Heartless

The cavity where my beating heart should be is filled with all its shattered pieces after it was broken by you
And now there is so much empty space,
leaving a void
Because all that’s left is the wreckage
Fragments strewn about like fallen debris
The archaic remnants of a once-thriving civilization destroyed by a cataclysmic event
