Heartless

I saw a post that read, "He wasn't sorry when you didn't know. Remember that." Trust and respect in any relationship is something that is almost impossible to get back once it's been destroyed. Building anything is way more challenging than breaking it down. Try to focus on building up the relationships with those you care about. If you cheat, perhaps you didn't care enough but as with anything in life, these situations are complicated. Take care and may your choices create happiness, not heartbreak. Heartless By Michelle Morris 29/06/2020 You took a vow, You knew the stakes; You stepped upon Her heart and soul. A heartless move; Trust destroyed; If only you felt The least remorse. Playing around, Your fun and games; Always the victor, Never ashamed. In parting of Matrimonial rites, The fight is over, The victim's right. But there's no bliss In the moving forward, When a heart's been Broken and a Soul's been burned. 'Cos everyone loses When you play those games, Your lust and ego Leaving hurt and pain. © Michelle Morris, 2020
