Thanks, Carole. He was such a sweet immigrant... from a country of violence where his dad had been assassinated actually. Wow - when will enough be enough?

It sounds horrible - godless was bad. Heartless - even more awful, but "brutally attacking" is really doing the devil's work. You have expressed all of our fears in the form of a well-done-up poem, Line.

This poem is based on my meeting a guy at emergency who had been jumped while riding HIS BICYCLE beaten up by four men and robbed after he had closed the restaurant where he was the cook late one Saturday night and going home. He was around 25 years old. How traumatic.
