Heartbroken I Stand Here So Strong

Your words woven from silken thread
Delicious words to me you fed
While perhaps for me you were wrong
Heartbroken I stand here so strong

You're the master of all deceit
Left me empty not quite complete
I knew these feelings wouldn't last long
Heartbroken I stand here so strong

Tongue of gold you'd have all believe
Never give you just receive
Singing to me your same old song
Heartbroken I stand here so strong

Can't wait upon this gentle breeze
Your words are only meant to tease
Knowing with you I didn't belong
Heartbroken I stand here so strong

This rhymes so very well that the words would make for good lyrics for a song -- set to appropriate music it really could make a real catchy llttle number! I think John Hamilton would rather like this latest offering of yours, Brenda....I am sure John is a songwriter when I recall. Excellent effort - enjoyed! Much affection as always. :) john
