It stirs in the silence, Memories bursting from the heart, Bubbling over with urgency, Hungry appetites, ferocious cravings Yearning for the music to start playing, Harmonizing in melodies joined By praise and prayer, yesterday’s dreams So light - like the air, drizzling resembling rains who wash away the dark, Pouring out hope, joy, peace All the beautiful that the broken heart needs It arises in the misty morning, Recalling the moments, so tender Yet so strong – almost like the mountains, Who cling to the skies, Ancient promises for the clear, cool winds, Singing like laughter in the glades, Whispering pleasures – despite the pains, Reassuring the spirit that there is a grace, Beyond the loss, beyond the cost Grace like His breathe breaking through the Life who doesn’t see that there is hope, Hope that never allows the heart to wither Beneath the flood of lonely feelings It troubles the waters of yesterday, Looking for peace that abides in the wisdom, Insight into the beautiful surrounding – Yesterday, the memories… enchanting, Astounding, startling the night with a glistening, Beneath the stardust moments, a tenderness Quiet and still, so very real Even in heartbreak, His love brings a chill His love, beyond truth, such a thrill to the heart Though broken, it will be restored By the One who frees the soul from its heaviest weight, its worst dark its hardest loss
