Heartbreak Sonnet

Heartbreak is like shattered glass
They say they are here forever
Yet while you believed their butt
Forever is a lie, they actually mean never

Planning a future, gets your hopes up
Thinking time would change his mind
If it’s meant to be, it will fill your cup
Little did you know he would find

Someone new better than you’re
The pain he caused he don’t care
You feel like you caused this move
Arguing comes from dare

This broken heart shall heal
One day someone will steal

Intuitive but not too deep or too long for the reader to opt out. Hope you stay to enjoy what the soup has to offer. Hope showed through in this piece without diminishing the hurt we can cause each other. You will find through feedback that poets can inspire more than you think. Probably because most emotion in poems is genuine and less contrived than what we get from other mediums as they reflect real passion. Regards David in NZ

Thank you so much! I had to change a word that is in my original copy of this piece because I can’t have cuss words on this website. But the fact I had so many views and I just posted this yesterday makes me excited
