Heartbreak Hotel

Heavy hearts always take a while to heal
Every motion you make seems to take more out of me
All the times we've expressed our "love" for each other
Real affection wouldn't leave me feeling this way
True emotions wouldn't have me wondering "what if?"
Bleeding from the inside, longing for a compromise
Ready for my existence to be explained to me
Easily sensitive to the words sharpened with your voice
A riddle seemingly only available to be solved with time
Killing me in so many ways...

What a blessing we have in PoetrySoup. A place to come to write and read and make new friends along the ink trail. I am wishing you a day full of inspiration. I enjoyed reading your poetry today and hope to read many more written by you in the future Trey. Love, Carol
