Heartbreak
The non-exsistant nature of things most desired fuels a heart
already marred with disdain and disfugured with impropreity.
The heart turns inward wrapping itself into a bleeding barbed wire prison.
For that pain reveals disturbing forgetfulness.
As the red current laughs wickedly,
choking out honesty in tiny pin pricks no longer reversable.
The aching silence is filled with beautiful memories,
that cut small and shallow like razor blades.
Relentless with their torment until only numbness is left.
Curled up, screaming from the outside in,
but smiling to the world meaninglessly.
Keeping the secret a secret,
a sad hidden treasure for someone to unlock.
