Heartbreak

I can’t speak. Tongue rested. Throat shut tight. Brain no longer ticking. Heart feeling like it’s been shattered, into billions of tiny little pieces. Tears flowing like a river. I yell, asking what I did wrong, asking why he doesn’t love me anymore. All he says, “I’m sorry.”
