Heartbeats
At the end of the day
I lay my body and heart down
To dream in silent comfort of heartbeats
Not knowing when the dawn comes
I open every door.
Today my heart plays
Serene melodies in my ears
And never stops at all
Perfumed by love and hope
And that what makes life sweet
Tomorrow I will walk in heartbeats
The roads impassable today
And my heart will sing a tune without words
For tomorrow is a new world
A new beat rising up to be born without delay.
