Heart Wins

When it is time to silver sleep
I find if he isn't next to me
I get a little less pink peace
And chose a little anxiety

I say chose because instead
Of dreaming he is in my blue bed
I fret and pout within my hazel head
Knowing it's a sin as we've not wed

But I will pray for enlightenment
And one day I will not emerald sin
But tonight my maroon heart wins
Though alone love deep within.

Love the way you used colors in your poem. I am an advocate of being open. Just know, this is a double edged sword here. Poets can turn on you in an instant. Those that once were your friends, disappear? In my experience, they do.. unless you keep kissing their feet. And some? Honestly, are liars, I don’t understand it. Online relationships are not real for the most part.love, Pangie

I appreciate your comment and have had only one poet openly sort of condemn my point of view. Lol. I just thank them for reading and asset they are allowed a view just as I am! We all fall short of glory so who is anyone to judge. I know my poetry opens me up to criticism because most of what I write is from experience and viewpoint. I do sometimes imagine. But those who judge anything need Jesus. For only he is sin free. Love your realness Pangie. Hugs

Karen you are a wonderful person as you open up your heart .to us . An awesome write. From 'I say chose .............. we've not wed'. and then again 'But tonight ....... love deep within'.
