Heart Whispers


 He desperately questioned as he took her warm palms to his,
      "Would you love me the same way I'd brave the world for you?"

    
   "Love is fickle and fleeting," She quoted.
           One point it's an emotional food,
       And then it withers away like a neglected house plant.
           Mine's heart is too exhaustive to such tides.

 But Smooth Seas do not make Skillful Sailors," He replied.
  
         She smiled.
