Heart To Trees
I gave my heart to the trees
A rustling song illuminates my soul
And lights up my eyes
As flowers blossom from my fingertips
And wisdom pours from my lips
The last words of the forest
Before they slowly fall into slumber
To escape a world they can't survive in
And in the distance I look at the sky
Where mushrooms blossom in the Heavens
Assuredly the last things I'll ever see
The last child of the forest
I watch the tree branches turn black
Dripping with fatal poison
The leaves drain and turn lilac
My heart oozes blood
Coating the branches in scarlet
I gave my heart to the trees
And now on the last day of it all
The last trees will finally fall
