Heart That Didn'T Break Apart Part 1
I just need a rest
So, I can pass the test…
God will do the rest
God will do the rest,
So no worries…
Get down upon your knees
Say please, Lord…
Help us lift up a sword
And fight out all the depression
Yet, we still move on with this tiresome life
Oooh…I tried to follow my heart
However, things got out of hand… how did we deal with such strife?
Oooh… at least it didn’t break apart
It didn’t break apart
Oh…it didn’t break apart
Thank God it didn’t break apart
Just like David in the bible…
I’ll not give up, though my enemies might crush me
Just like Sampson in the bible…
I’ll not waver to show off my strength…
Do me a favor and release my soul
And I don’t wanna go back to my peril
Yet, we still move on with this tiresome life
Oooh…I tried to follow my heart
However, things got out of hand… how did we deal with such strife?
Oooh… at least it didn’t break apart
It didn’t break apart

Thank God it didn’t break apart
I want to be free
I want to flourish like a sprouting tree
That reaches to heaven
There’s light at the end of the tunnel…
There’s light, even if we’re lost in a darksome pit
Yet, we still move on with this tiresome life
Oooh…I tried to follow my heart
However, things got out of hand… how did we deal with such strife?
Oooh… at least it didn’t break apart

Thank God it didn’t break apart
But, I must admit…if you’d listen a minute or two
I was in chains…I was in handcuffs
Before I figured out that life has meaning
But, there’s a part of me
That breaks into two
And I don’t wanna be sick with the flu
Yet, we still move on with this tiresome life
Oooh…I tried to follow my heart
However, things got out of hand… how did we deal with such strife?
Oooh… at least it didn’t break apart

Thank God it didn’t break apart
I just need time off
So, I can delete this distress
Why do you play so rough?
I don’t wanna return to my…hopelessness
I want to work harder…to reach for some rope
Yet, we still move on with this tiresome life
Oooh…I tried to follow my heart

You left me hanging…like a hanger on a string
I can be a bee… that can sting
But, there’s doubt in mind
That shatters my hope
