Heart Strings

At night I sit out on my porch and dream away my stay, I think about those youthful times and how I got this way. It’s back ‘n forth in my old chair, While strummin’ my guitar, I wonder 'bout what might'a been As Orion shines afar. It’s the twinkling girl from yesteryear Who steals away my thought. She’s the one that sailed away The star I never caught. So, might I find good words And sing another song, To that pretty stellar girl, And ponder what went wrong. 8/19/2018

A really good poem! You capture the essence of love, so timidly and affectionately. Well done!
