Heart On Ice

Woke up this morning to see you were gone It took me a moment to realise it has been far too long My back still hurts from the dagger you struck me with Tore my heart from behind my ribcage I can still fell the claw marks from you ripping it out Didn't bother you a bit to hear me freaking out You ran off on me, and took my heart with you Stole my heart but left it laying next to me It's still beating but it can't beat without you You wanted my heart but gave it back to me Now there's just emptiness and selfless empathy If you want it back just let me now It'll be next to the bed lying near the lamp post It still beats for you if you want it come and get it I know yours is beating for mine too I can feel t when I get close to you Beating is slowing every day you're away Maybe next time you could be here to stay I will keep it alive and well put it in a jar to keep it preserved When you're ready come and get it On a silver platter hot and ready to be served
