Heart of the Ocean's Depth
You don't know how I truly feel.
You enjoy my surfaces and my
shores.
My smiles, laughs and the fair
countenance I choose for you to
see.
I am the deepest depth you will
never see.
Many claim to love me, oh they do
love the cool feel of me on a hot
day, as they bathe in my tears. The
feel of my white sandy shores as
they thread on me hand in hand.
I am so very lonely, they do enjoy
my loneliness, it relates to theirs.
There's so much more to me.
Won't you swim a bit further?
Won't you delve a bit deeper,
open your eyes and see me true?
I am not shallow, I am life.
I am not my shores,
I'm so much more
I cry because my heart is truly alive.
Are not your tears salted water?
Am I not vast waters?
Am I not boundless tears?
Have I cried in vain?
