Heart of Dreams
A lot of things have been said
About a person's dreams
Pictures of life's moments
Our mind paints on a screen
Subconscious little drawings
Of ordinary things
Or incremental flashes
Of extraordinary scenes
Dreams in the daytime
Are no more than just a glare
Hoping no one saw you
In your catatonic stare
Nightmares can be terrifying
They're such a fearful sight
They make us feel uneasy
And give us such a fright
Dreams can take us anywhere
That our mind feels free to roam
They'll take us to our own backyard
Or a million miles from home
