Heart Broken
she couldn't make him love her, she lay down her heart at his feet,
he was so intoxicated by her righteous love,
his soul felt the power of her devotion,
she worshiped him with her body,
she gave herself to him as a gift from the most high,
he molded her mind, she was his strong warrior he created her image,
she kept it in her heart, he told her "your soul is gold"
because she had a pure heart she gave him the greatest love he never knew, killing her softly with his perception of her, he would tell lies until the lies became the truth,
he did everything to her not on thing he did not, she wanted to leave him, but she could not,
her love kept her prisoner with chains of mercy and a suit of kindness, she refuse to give up the fight, from woman to a princess to a queen to a Goddess, she was the best that ever was to be, he came from heaven to find her, the understanding, they had was broken, everybody right nobody wrong, i keep hearing the same old song, is love forever or does love end, o where is my black Goddess o where has she gone
