Heart

Human heart buried in a wall of mud beneath deep waters
A slaughter softly strewn in the tide that caresses the surface
A purpose deserted to wither in question
To rest in agony behind a cage of a skeletal ghost
A host to the parasite this heart may become
As it succumbs to the erosion, then decay
Fading away, frigid and alone
