Heard a Song On the Radio

Heard a song on the radio
Sounded real cool
‘Bout being calm in a cruel world
‘Bout being nobody’s fool
But it’s a give and a take world
Everyone’s keeping score
I try to be real interested
But lately I’m real bored

I’m missing some heart strings
I feel so out of tune
All I’m thinking lately is
“I wanna see ya real soon!”
We would go to the movies
Smoke lots of cigarettes
“I’ll be there next month babe!”
But I’m not placing no bets

I heard a song on the radio
Sounded real fine
‘Bout being cold in a cruel world
You know girl, it’s a thin line
I spent a long time thinking
I always had the right words
But there a hush in my heart now
And I sound a little absurd

You gotta learn how to give girl
You gotta learn how to feel

You gotta learn how to live girl
You gotta learn how to heal

I heard a song on the radio
Sounded real sad
Thought about all the tears shed
Started feeling real bad
But I’ve learn how to give in a take world
So I quess I’m gonna be fine
I’m just wanna learn how to laugh more
While I’m just passing my time
