Hear Those Bells (Etheree and Tanka Combined)

HEAR THOSE BELLS (Etheree and Tanka combined)

hear?
those bells
wedding bells
one plus one two
it is a magic time
when promises are made
a lifetime commitment two
at the time so easy to do
but there will surely be many trials
two souls in a give-and-take arrangement

many couples fail
fail to give each other space
space to know themselves
and those who weather the storms
owe thanks to god’s bright angel’s

Daver, very clever I lived through one (hear the bells) it was the worst wedding bells ever.. I love your Etheree and the bottom half is so true... The part where some marriages fail.. Loved your poem,..p.d.

The wisdom and grace of this beautiful poem actually gave me chills, Daver. So few marriages last these days. Giving each other space is very important in a relationship. Young people don't seem to understand this. Super poem for my favorites, dear friend! Love, Carolyn

So so true these words of wisdom. It takes many storms and you have to learn to weather them along the way. An excellent write. God Bless Phyl
