Hear My Plea

     Sleep escapes
       on tiptoes

     leaves the door ajar
       soon it is far
         far away

     O, how I pray
        for its return

     Will it hear my plea
~ if only it could see

sleep eludes many nights....too much on my mind, I guess. Anyway, I hear you.

Insomnia can be hell. I have a book on how to prepare for sleep. It usually puts me to sleep before I finish a page.

You too; lately, if I sleep 5 hrs a night, it is a lot. Mostly broken sleep at that. Starting to appreciate the cats, a least I have company. Stepping all over the keyboard as well. It is a conspiracy! Great one, Gerhson!

Oh, does this really happen to you? Tim goes through it, around, up on top of it, down, way down under it and wakes me up frequently to tell me he can't sleep. It is a clever write, yet another from your pen, but I do hope you aren't thus tortured. (on tip toes because it feels GUILTY)
