Hear Me Now

I sit alone with a heavy heart
As I fall to my knees, I fall apart
Hear me now as I cry out
Teach me what it's all about
I know not when it all began
I found I could no longer stand
Alone in life, no hope in sight
I pray please God show me the light
Take me in your arms tonight
Hold me close, forever tight
Give me strength to live again
Fulfill my life until its end

You know. I've read your poem three times... What keeps striking me right in the forehead is the word 'alone' ('I sit here alone.')… Loneliness and isolation have been the twin scourges of the technology explosion, and now all the more so with COVID.... May your prayers be answered! Blessings, Gershon
