Heap of Sand
Tall
I stand
like a mountain
or stalagmite growing
out of the earth,I can be soft
or coarse,tasteless or salty;rough
but smooth surfaces;school children
play on me and with me;I`m amiable.Trend
upon by beach lovers and rest upon by picnickers,
Sandwiched between cement and gravel,I contribute
to raising of skyscrapers ; married to steel I form pillars,
Also known as Silica or quartz glass loved by scientists,as I act
as shock and heat absorbers and in controlling frequency of trans-
mitters;Linguists can`t do without me..and..&..&..soldiers of war.&..
I share name with birds,humans..&..hurricane; Being blown by strong
winds in arid lands,I cause cornea,iris &respiratory problems,which make
dwellers wear shoes with rubber soles and goggles made from Me-optical
lenses.I`m dynamic, lovely and gracious;I am SAND!You need me in your life.
