Healing Our Personal Wounds
We've all wounds without and within
thinking we know how to heal
but wounds are not always what they seem
for on the surface nothing you can feel
Look intently right in so deep
take a knife scrape right away
clear out whatever hides the source
then the wound's clear, no more clay
Some of our wounds need real-time
whatever their pain patiently wait
they've their own way of working
by turning the key you've opened the gate
These wounds come with a plan
sent down to teach us a lesson
each of us different ones to learn
but it's all part of a greater blessing
Some feel only the pain
blind to anything good
inward thoughts engulf them
learning bare firmly nude
I've written this based on the quotation by Tracie Peterson (1959- present) Christian fiction writer.
"We're all dealing with the wounds we've been given. Some folks just don't know how to let the wounds heal."
