Healing of the Soul
some get a second chance.
a shot at redemption.
atone for the hurt they've caused.
and mourn the loves they've lost.
don't let yesterday decide what comes tomorrow
know deep within their hearts.
no good can come from sorrow.
the past unlike a slate
can never be wiped clean.
but life's not life worth living
without hopes and dreams.
being hurt is part of life,
it makes us who we are.
each jagged scar reminds us
to stay true to who we are.
