Healing

We danced in twos,
Or even threes,
Smiling from,
Ear to ear,
Skipping from,
Here to there,
Across the bridge,
Of heartbreak,
Down the path,
Of pain,
Hands linked,
We were finally together,
“Last call for lonely hearts!”
We sang as we entered,
The open gates which led us,
To our happiness,
To our freedom.
