Heal My Heart

In the morning light I rise
With a heart that's open wide

I find joy in giving love
To the ones who need a hug

When I see them smile it shows
How they help my spirit grow

Every act it mends a piece
Of the hurt I used to keep

I take care to heal my heart
Giving love is where it starts

What I needed long ago
Fills my soul and makes me whole

At the end of every day
When the shadows start to play

I remember every face
That I've brightened with my grace

I take care to heal my heart
Giving love is where it starts

What I needed long ago
Fills my soul and makes me whole

In this circle of embrace
We find solace in the space

Helping you it helps me too
Mends the part that once was blue
