Heading For Home

Home is being amongst family and friends,
since birth, one has come, to know.
Whom been there, when one needs, them the most,
and from their hearts, truly love, them so.

Where memories of yesterday,
have been made, from way, back when.
Bringing forth, a chance, to relive,
one's own past, all over again.

A destination, residing within,
the inner body, a path, for horror, to cease.
A location, from one's spiritual soul,
to capture, the gift, of true peace.

Finally, the time, for one, to go,
when one must, go to, the other side.
Leaving the vessel, one is destined, to stay,
while toward heaven, with an angel, because they've died.

In whatever, direction, or portal,
from where you be or have to roam.
There is always, going to be,
the urge, for one, to head, for home.
