There’s a cry for help, we choose to ignore, although our first response was to reach out, for it’s a pattern, we have seen before, thus valid is our thought, that does now doubt, so stifle empathy, that tends to sprout. We wish that heart over our head holds sway, with love and light divine, as our mainstay, yet there’s no need for us to trauma bond, so we guard our well being, as we pray, for where is the fun, in being so conned? 24-October-2021

Excellent. So true, the point you've made. I too say: Let the heart lead. The head should only check when necessary (or if it's actually a 'decision based on the numbers' or a court-like deliberation). Here's to passion, caring, helping, and being human (--not a robot). ~ Gershon

Love is an emotion especially at first sight that defies all logic, so the head tends to get a battering. Interesting poem, many ways to provoke the mind. Stay Safe, Seeker. Harry
