He Wore Blue
He wore blue,
as he stepped to my side
and took my hand in his
he smiled a bit
and worried a tad
as he gave a gentle kiss
he led me out
into the world
from the room where we first
met
and there he stood
and paced a bit
not quite sure of me yet
and as he spoke
of life and love
and things that may never be
he stole my heart
and hid it well
from the rest of the world to
see
and as the evening
came to an end
and we went our seperate ways
the minutes until
I would see him next
seemed more of years than
days
and when he promised
he told me no lies
and his word has been nothing
but true
and Ill never forget
the night I met
the man who wore blue.
