He was there
(Sunrise with God)

Today I shared the sunrise with God...
He was there in the brilliance
Of the sun's yellow glow
He was there in the clouds
That created shapes and flows
He was there in the birds
Finding their first meal of the dawn
He was there in the dew
On the freshly cut lawn
He was there in the trees
Where the breeze lifted leaves
He was there in the squirrel
As it danced gracefully with ease
He was there in the stillness
That joy of oneness that I know
He was there all around me
I could feel Heaven's love
Thank you, God
Amen
