He Was Saved

Next door, the beautiful house
Went up in flames
A man was disabled
And very very lame

The firemen and ambulance
Were too late that night
The neighbors help them out
It was a terrible sight
One was badly hurt
Family was full of freight

We gathered around
Their home and prayed
Knew they would be ok
Eventually, find s place to stay

Neighborhood gathered
The next day at the park, to talk
It was close to home
So we decided to walk

We stood in silence
For the one badly burned
They were all sad and hoped
His health would take a turn

He pulled through, family blessed
Even had a home ready, too
It's always good to help people in need
For someday you may need it like others do.
