He Wants a Boy
She tries to weed
out his doubts,
but he cannot heed.
He demands a baby boy,
yet she is not a goddess
to change their baby's sex.
She tells him that if there
was a certain way people made love
to get baby boys, or
if she had the psychic abilities of choosing
a sperm that that would fertilize
her ova into a male zygote,
she would be glad to give him one.
