He Wanted Attention and He Got It

He wanted his cousin Jenny’s attention
So, he dropped from the ceiling upside down
His head landed inside a couch cushion.
We relatives had never seen such a trick.

His voice was muffled, so we did not know what he was mumbling.
We debated whether to go find his cousin Jenny or take selfies.
We took selfies.

Oh isn't this true everywhere that we chose to take pictures and selfies first rather than setting out to what needs to be done. A hilarious poem suggesting childhood naughtiness as well as a reminder of what today's world is like. I always enjoy reading your delightful poetry.
