He Walked Effortlessly In Her Kingdom

There was an earthiness, a wildness, and a sincerity about him that appealed to the forest. She enveloped him in her midst, showering him with natural love from her mosses, and mushrooms. He walked gently through her, reveling in the reverence of the silence, admiring her tiny white and purple violets. Deer walked gingerly through the grass, beside him, without fear, understanding his keen empathy. An environmentalist who appreciated, and exuded love for the forest, he walked effortlessly in her kingdom. A humble man, he did not fully appreciate the deference the forest was giving him or the unprecedented amount of respect.

I love how the forest loves and reveres him, too- I've felt like that... so full of appreciation of the forest that I felt all of nature was "loving me back"! Great write! ;)

Thank you Lindsay. No one loves a forest walk as much as I do, but this man is liking it almost as much. I have seen deer walk along side me, in the dusk, about four feet away, and I have heard the crunch of the grass as they walked - they are never aware of me.
