He Probably Learned His Lesson Too

We get a new mattress. The dog is intrigued. He chews it to bits. We have no words. Because he is a baby. And we know he does not mean it. We get new curtains. He pulls them down. The rod falls on his head. I am sure he yelped. We were not home But we think he probably has learned his lesson.

Caren, I had two Siamese kittens when I lived in St. Louis, long long ago. They would absolutely destroy my apartment but would be sitting on the top of the sofa when I came home from work looking at me like, "We don't have any idea what happened. Suddenly, everything was a disaster!" I know the feeling. You love them and you want to scream!

The bad part about puppies it takes until about 2 1/2 to 3 years for them to outgrow this kind of play. When we dog that we loved so much was a puppy, he loved to get my shoes and chew them up. I had to make sure no shoe/s were left where he could get them. I enjoyed reading this one about a life event that can happen or does happen to most everyone. Sara

We have a new dog that chews everything in site. Not a puppy but an untrained and neglected 1 1/2yr. old I rescued. It sure is hard to get him to understand . He destroyed my glasses, my husband's glasses, chewed some chair legs and tears up paper all over the place. He thinks everything is either a toy or food. Caught him trying to eat a dead bat. Gotta love them anyhow. Good write Caren God Bless, JB

This puppy is enormous and he was dumped on our road at about a year and a half.
